Data Engineer / Integrations Lead (AI-Native)
Build the intelligent data foundations that power Skiffra’s AI-native orchestration platform.
About Skiffra
Skiffra is building the operating system for intelligent enterprises. We connect data, systems, and people into a unified intelligence layer that learns continuously and moves with purpose. Across industries, organizations struggle with fragmented systems that bury expertise and create waste. We’re replacing that waste with orchestration that amplifies human judgment and makes complex work faster, clearer, and more adaptive.
Skiffra unites human insight with machine intelligence, transforming messy reality into actionable, real-time reasoning. We’re not automating yesterday’s tasks—we’re designing for the intelligent enterprises of tomorrow.
The Role
We’re hiring a Data Engineer / Integrations Lead to build the data backbone that makes AI-native orchestration possible. This role goes beyond traditional data engineering. You’ll design an environment built for continuous learning, real-time decision-making, and agentic automation across heterogeneous enterprise systems.
You’ll also help create a next-generation capability at the heart of Skiffra: a Data Engineering Agent trained to autonomously build, validate, and operate data systems. This is a hands-on, zero-to-one role for someone who wants to prototype the future of data engineering—not maintain the past.
What You’ll Do
Design and build AI-assisted pipelines using medallion-style architecture (ingest → refine → gold)
Build the foundation for a Data Engineering Agent, mapping patterns, metadata, lineage, and rules it will eventually automate
Integrate fragmented systems (ERP, finance, MES, telemetry, logs, documents) into one coherent environment
Normalize and model enterprise data so AI agents can reason across domains without brittle assumptions
Develop real-time interfaces that feed live decision-making
Work closely with product, full-stack, and LLM engineering teams to align data structures with workflows and orchestration logic
Prototype rapidly using both direct engineering and agent-guided tooling
Document the evolving data ecosystem, codifying patterns that accelerate future automation
Lead integrations with third-party APIs and operational systems as platform scope expands
You’ll Thrive Here If You
Love designing adaptive data systems built for intelligence, not just reporting
See messy data as a map of how work really happens
Think in systems and flows, not isolated tables
Believe the future of data engineering is AI-augmented and continuously learning
Enjoy working across data modeling, API engineering, workflows, and integrations
Prioritize simplicity, clarity, and momentum
Learn fast and document faster
What You Bring
Strong foundation in data engineering, backend engineering, systems design, or integrations
Experience with modern data architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, Lakehouse)
Curiosity about agent-driven automation and AI-native tooling
Ability to design data models that support reasoning and orchestration
Experience building integrations across APIs, enterprise systems, and operational tooling
High learning velocity with comfort in ambiguous, cross-functional roles
Strong instincts for quality: lineage, metadata, validation, observability
Experience handling schema drift and evolving operational environments
Why Skiffra
You’ll join at the moment when architecture, culture, and long-term equity are still being shaped. You’ll work alongside product thinkers, engineers, and AI builders obsessed with transforming organizations into intelligent systems that waste nothing and learn from everything.
Your data architecture will come alive inside operating mines, manufacturing floors, and global enterprises—enabling decisions that previously took days to surface. This is your chance to help build the next generation of data engineering.
